Professional Experience:
Bruce Gilbert is the Founder and a Principal of the Gilbert Group and Gilbert Investment Company. Mr. Gilbert has been in the real estate and shopping center industry continually since 1966. During his career, he has been involved in the development and management of shopping centers through the Gilbert Investment Company. Since 1977, he has been an active real estate broker and Principal of the Gilbert Group which has specialized in commercial real estate and shopping centers. In his 50 plus years in the industry, he has been involved in thousands of transactions. His experience obtained as a principal and broker in the sale, purchase, acquisition, divestment, development, and leasing of commercial and industrial properties, provides a certain gravitas in dealing with today’s issues. As a continual shopping center owner for over four decades, and with a continuing love for the arena, he looks forward to assisting Aaron Gilbert in the development of an investment fund.
Prior to founding The Gilbert Group, Bruce was taught by Robert Denmead, an ethical giant of his generation and owner of the prestigious Robert Denmead Company.
Education, Licensures and Awards:
Bruce graduated in 1966 from The Ohio State University wit ha B.A. in Political Science and has benefitted from a number of post graduate courses in Law and Community and Regional Planning. His avocation has been politics and public affairs which has led to involvement in diverse activities extending back into his childhood. Of note are his activities in support of an Ohio Fair Housing Law and as a Delegate to 1980 Democratic Convention.
